Once I saw how the students enjoyed the extra little flair to the slides I decided to take it a step further. This time I began looking for sites which I can download images and use them freely, in case I wanted to sell them on Teacher Pay Teacher. I quickly found out that it is time consuming, but I enjoyed it a lot. Creating these pages made me feel as though I was developing my own backgrounds and scenes, of course with the help of premade images. I quickly found out that the right images matter a lot when creating something, you do not want a realistic image with a cartoon image. I also found that when you have an idea in your mind you have to be willing to alter it in order to go with the style you are creating.
Below is the first story I made for my students last year, The Missing Pot of Gold. As you can tell from the 2 images I used some realistic and some cartoon. Knowing now what I know I would have created a different scene, but as I was writing the story the scene went with what I wanted. Also, what I foun

d difficult was finding characters in a pose that I can use throughout my entire story, on occasion I did have to change them in order to fit the scene,. Which did not make me happy, but it is what it is.

My next story was about the Lonely Snowman. In this story I used the same background throughout the story but here and there I added some new images to the scene. The hardest part was finding 2 snowmen that looked similar but at the same time one was melting and the other was fully made.
